The photos on these pages are about the town of Mistretta, Sicily and my family as I remember it. These La Mia Mistretta pages are dedicated to my parents, Illuminato e Filippa and their life in Mistretta.

My father, Illuminato, was born in Mistretta, Sicily in 1920 and lived there until 1951 when he emigrated to Canada. My mother, Filippa, and I emigrated in 1953. I returned to Mistretta in 1977 with my husband and we visited my relatives in Mistretta. These photos tell their story
